How the free gift networks can afford to send out gifts
By Brian Sherman
I run a small website called www.freeipodsandconsoles.co.uk which gives people hints and tips on how to get themselves free gifts and this also helps me. I give them hints, tips and advice to help them. The question that i am asked most is "how can free gift companies afford to send our gifts?" but some just can't work it out and dismiss it as a scam. If you have cable tv or satelite tv you often get offers from these companies that will give you some money if you get a friend to sign up to their service. This is basically how free gift networks are run. The difference is that they offer many more offers for people to choose from with plenty choice. Let's take an example. This is how someone would get a free DS Lite...... When someone views my website and decides they will sign up, they get a choice of offers and will choose one. Then, all they have to do is get 5 other people to sign up and do offers and then the DS Lite will be sent to them. That means 6 offers have been done in total and the advertisers will pay the free gift companies an amount for each of them. The money paid from the advertisers will not be enough to pay for the DS Lite in full, it will only raise about three quarters. The rest of the money is raised through other people doing an offer, maybe getting another couple of people to do offers and then they give up before they have enough people signed up. The advertisers pay for these offers but the free gift networks dont have to send any gifts out. This excess money is used to pay for the other free gifts and the money left over is pure profit. My site offers gifts, big and small and some items only require you to get 2 other people to sign up, which isnt really hard to do. The more people that sign up, the bigger and better the gift that they get. So, in short...it's not a scam as the money comes from advertisers. It's far easier and cheaper for advertisers to get customers this way instead of expensive promotions and adverts. |
